Part 1
I do not know who is my best friend, seriously. i had never thought of this before. I just let my life go on and on. We do not have to like classify friends into Best Friend category, Good Friend Category, Bad Friend Category etc. As long as our friends treat each other well, who cares whether you are my best friend or not. Everyone is equal.
I have Malay and Chinese friends. I have no Indian friend. Not that I’m racist. I just do not have any Indian classmates. It does not matter what colour is your skin. No discrimination. It is your heart. Is your heart black?
Part 2
1 character
2 circumstances
3 age
4 gender
5 Race
1 Character
I think character is the most important factor as no one would want to befriend someone who cannot be trusted, who have attitude problems which everyone hates it, a troublemaker who always get you into trouble, who always take away your credits.
2 Circumstances
Classmates, group mates and cca-mates. Although we must learn to be independents, we still need friends for support, classmates to help you with your work, cca-mates to correct you for things you did wrong during your cca, you also need them for teamwork. For example, basketball and netball, no teamwork, you might as well don't play.
Group mates, in order to do produce a perfect, nice work, we need these group mates to suggest some ideas, and put your heads in and discuss. United we stand, Divided we fall.
3 Age
You can't really communicate with adults who are about 30 years old or over. It is best to have friends who are around the age as you. It is easier to communicate with. They think what you are thinking.
4 Gender
Males and females. There's something the male cannot share with the female except married couple. In fact, some married couples still cannot share some personal things with each other. If we do not talk about these things. We can just communicate with each other. There is no problem at all.
5 Race
As I had said earlier on, it doesn't matter what your skin colour is. We may be from different religion, but that's does not matter. We have to respect people's religion. Does not mean that you believe in the god of your religion, everyone must also believe in the god of your religion. Everyone have the rights which god they believe in. Respect each other's freedom of religion.
Part 3
Yes. I think Racial Harmony Day had served its purpose.
We get to learn more as in the traditional culture of different races, the delicacies they eat, the differences of the clothes such as Chinese wear Qi Pao and Malay wear Baju Kurong.
We also get to know about each other's religion. Example, the Muslims cannot eat pork and the Buddhist cannot eat Beef.
