I feel that if a friend comes to me and asks for money, we should consider the situation that person is in and the amount. The most important is to think whether by landing the money is helping or harming him or her. If the person is in need to buy things that are relevant, then I will consider of lending. However, if the person is involved in some gambling activities, I do not wish to see my friend ending up being punched by others but by lending the money to them, then it will become a very normal thing to come to me and ask for money if they need to pay for their debts. I do not wish to see my friend gambling and go around asking different people for money and not returning the sum of money after lending.
I will encourage the person by asking him or her to go and find a job before they go and gamble and lose all their money. I think by saying NO to a friend is very difficult especially to a friend whom you know a very long time ago. We must always consider the consequences before lending. We must also consider our own financial abilities first. If we lend money to others and cannot meet the needs for myself, we cannot lend others money. We must know when to say NO to certain things.
