Should YOU lend to a friend? :)
Trust, is very important. When it comes to lending money to a friend, you may hesitate: Should I lend her money? Will she return it? Is she going to forget about it? Will I lose my money? Or more importantly, losing a friend because you said NO.
Personally, I think that lenders should look at it at different angles, like:
- Is it really very urgent?
- Do you even have enough money for yourself? Can you afford lending money to a friend?
-Can you trust that friend?
If a TRUE friend needs money for emergency, I will DEFINATELY lend her, because I know that I can trust her. And she will never ever cheat my money. You have to make your choices very carefully. Everyone knows this phrase: A friend in need, is a friend indeed. But once again, you must think, are your friends taking advantage of you or are they really in need?
Borrowers should pay back what they can, even though if it is just a little. Do not ignore it. If you can't pay up, be up-front.
You can lose trust very easily, if you didn't keep to your word, do you think people will lend you money the next time when you need it? So think twice before you do anything.
Money can never buy trust.`
