Part One
I have many best friends in life. They are all in different races like Chinese, Malay and Indian. I believe that we do not judge a person by his/her race but by character. If you trust them and they trust you, these is called best friends. Best friends are friends that you share your relationship closest with, and not about their race. But then, I have a higher percentage of Chinese friends than Malay or Indian.
Part Two
1. Character
2. Circumstances
3. Age
4. Gender
5. Race
1. Character
Character is mostly about your personality. A good character will reflect the best upon yourself. For me, I judge a person by his/her character more because it is the main and most important thing of all. A good character will benefit you because people will like you and would want to make friends with you.
2. Circumstances
Another important thing to notify is the people you are with. Your classmates, schoolmates, CCA friends. If you are indirectly or directly connected to them in one way or another, it would be most likely that you will get to know them and maybe make friends with them. In all this things, teamwork and co-oporation is mostly needed to complete a task successfully. If you are doing group work or a project, your friends who are in the same group as you will have to co-operate with you well in order to complete the task. So teamwork is very important. Without teamwork, nothing will be accomplished.
3. Age
I believe that I will communicate better with the people at my age. I think that people at my age will have the same common thinking as me as from people from the different age as me. We have to choose appropriately for the age groups we choose to communicate with to share your thoughts with them. It is important if you want to pour all your feelings to a friend, you must make sure that are able to understand you and give you the correct answer. But of course, sometimes, you will definitely need a person at an older age to tell you what is the correct path to take because sometimes they have more experiences than us. Past experience and lessons learnt are very vital.
4. Gender
For me, the gender does not really matter in communication. Whether you are talking to a male or a female, they will sometimes have the same kind of thinking as you in one way or another. We have to mix around with the genders sometimes to understand more and communicate more with each other. This also helps you to understand more about someone. Sometimes, being with different genders of yours might also be interesting because you will be experiencing things that did not happen to you before and it might be fun too.
5. Race
I think that we should mix around with people of different races. Especially when you are leaving in a country like Singapore. I don't really care about the different races of friends that I'm mixing with as long as I have fun. Even with a different skin colour, we sometimes also understand each other and we work with one another well. I would really want to have a circle of friends of different races. It would be interesting to learn about their races and cultures.
Part 3
I think Racial Harmony is very important and its needed in a small country like singapore. You have different races and you will get to experience Racial Harmony, where you can learn about the different races and cultures they practice. Its important to Singapore that we get to know all the races so that we can work together and create a better future for our country. We are all people so it does not matter about the races, the skin colour, or the language we speak. Its the common goal that we are all working on.
DONE! Finally lah :D
